Teleman: get well soon!

Post by bgregoire » Mon Feb 25, 2019 10:09 pm

Sir Bruce the Teleman, grampa-tele for some of us here, has recently taken a really bad fall (not from his skis!).

For those who are not yet acquainted with Teleman, he's particurly skilled at transmitting his love of the true deal:

"Telemark was and is a way to cruise whatever and wherever you want....It is not a downhill man made surface kinda thing....Course anybody can make it that....(look at your equipment all)....Out in the hills and mountains when you slide your ski forward and the following ski snuggles into the vortex of the lead ski speed instantly builds....your ski print is a MONOMARK like Vt"s was...doh!...That type of skiing leads to speed like instant acceleration....way fast....One long javelin....It slices the snow....speed....At some point you need to bleed speed, that's a turn but in VT's last plunge he is into a very long arc.....that makes for a very fast speedy ski....like no turn....very, very long arcs....Lots of speed boys....Take this to the forest...Openings....head the ski down and most want to turn to bleed speed cause everything is very tight especially when speeding up....but if you can overcome the whizzing trees and hold your position there is a tremendous rush...Telewheels once said looking up...but...you never turned....Didn't turn, but sure as snow arced....ARC on Boys!!!! Girls too if there are any around....TM"

All my best to you, Oldtimer. And family and friends that surround you.
You have lit the lights in several ski sites.
It's all about getting out in one's piece of winter paradise on the boards.
I look forward to your recovery with cyber typewriter ablaze.

Teleman; too bad timing for the fall...maybe get them to wheel you down to the sugar shack for recuperation? Sap must be flowing by now.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Teleman. I thought you went down to Florida or something, been missing the Kingdom reports and this electronic, virtual, forum world isn't the same without reports from the Kingdom.
Heal quickly, Woodserson is starting to make me think NH is the place to be. I need some reports from Little Mountain and the Highlands.

falling, such a pain....sucks getting old...one minute you're up and fine and then the next you're on the ground wondering what happened...the sun is shining but it doesn't care...Vermont maples look down at you and say "get up, get up you old codger"

Hey guys,

what do you think about chipping together for a get-well gift? I'm sure if would be appreciated and even though I only know Bruce through his Teleman-evangelism, I'm convinced a new pair of Andrews would be a rad get-well soon gift. What do you say?!
