Mine are M62, waxable, skin insert, rocker, etc. I compared it — from experience, in concreto — to the older Eon version; very different ski. I said what I said.

Yes- understood!
I hope that they re-issue that ski (and the wider 68)- I wish I had bought it when I had the chance!
Cross-country AND down-hill skiing in the backcountry.
Unashamed to be a "cross-country type" and love skiing down-hill.

Just heard back from Tim at Akers.
The "new" M62 is identical to the old Eon Omnitrack-
- for example the "182" M62 is the same length as the old "185" Eon.
- the M62 is still available in "202"/"205" length.
- the sintered waxable Eon/M62 is no longer made.
.........
I hope that Madshus brings back the redesigned "M62" (that Rod has) and its wider sibling(s)-
I was actually REALLY hoping for a "M78" with the same build, geometry and flex as the "M62" that Rod has...

Ok good... we were saying the same thing... no offense.
And I agree; that M62 is great, great ski. Wonder if we could find a pair somewhere...

Sport Conrad had the M62/M68 on clearance last spring-summer- should have bought them...

Re: Falketind 62 vs Eons?
Pretty sure Continental Ski and Bike in Duluth Minnesota has the Panorama M68 in stock still from last year and they also carry the new fishscale series. Never had the M62 that Rod and I have though, I got that on the interwebs, but they mounted my 3 pin cables on heliarcs and do a great job .
Just called them and the longest they have is 192cm and they have the next 2 down in size. But, alas they won't ship to Canada. I do have a niece in law school at McGill and my Lil sis could be heading up for a visit if things keep toning down. I'll bet they don't sell. This is so convoluted it could just happen! I might even be able to squeeze them on price, this town is all track skiers.
