Yeah, I was also immediately struck with the similarity to the Alaska's (I have a pair myself). Looks like the St. Moritz might be a little more supportive though; the uppers on the Alaska's being so soft.

Maybe somebody saw Santa Claus wearing these boots on his sleigh circa 2013??? Maybe Adventure Nordique can be convinced to do an order of St. Mortiz......Andrew is playing on a different level, if you look closely you'll see the entire boot upper is cut from one single piece of cow! Nobody else does this.

Canna, I read another post of yours about that. My Alico Teletours seem to be put together just like that too, single piece of leather. I am assuming the piece of leather is cut and stitched behind the ankle? I read somewhere that Crispi boots are not cut and stitched behind the ankle, but rather off to the side, to reduce blistering....

EDIT: just checked my Sydpolens. They probably are stitched behind the ankle, can't say for sure...

yes, Antarctic has a seam on the side, that's not a bad deal though, Limmer boots are made the same way.

It seems like Andrew is using the best quality leather, just my impression but it seems more supple & flexible than my other boots.

I knew that the name "Andrew" sounded familiar. I just found an old email response from the company back in Jan 2006 when I almost bought some. In the end I went with the SNS X-Adv raid bindings and Salomon X-Adv boots instead. In hindsight that's too bad.
