Re: Gear Basket

I just purchased a Nansen waxless, Rotte NNN-BC manual, and a 30 mm mohair X-skin to my door, for just over $400 USD from Varuste. My wife has an early edition of his book. He developed a lot of modern tele gear too. Surprised he is not better known.

Re: Gear Basket

Re: Lundhags Boots

Thanks Ox, I think the Guide fits the bill for me, more interested in long distance touring comfort. I haven't toured with the Expeditions so I can't actually say what they're like. The comfort of both is going to be the same down at the business end where your feeties are, and there's nothing wron...

Re: Alpina Discovery 80 sizing

Thanks for your feedback! I am in the PNW, and turning is a significant consideration. The Fischer Excurssion 88 at 169 cm is at the top if my list. Hoping to find an older year model but may have to buy new. The Excursion would be a good bet, a versatile ski, and very forgiving. A nice feature on ...

Re: Spring break!

Nice trip! Lucky kid! Lucky you! Have you ever skied Middlebury? Pretty relaxed, or was. My family had a house on a few acres on Lincoln Gap Rd. in Warren when I was a youth. I love Vermont. Too bad they sold Glen Ellen to Sugarbush, that was a great low-key place with a 2600 ft vertical and none of...
