Re: One ski to rule them all! A one ski quiver for all disciplines

The people in Narvik and Tromso kind of regard the southerners as a wee bit "soft" For Tromsø natives, Narvik people are already 'sørlings' – southerners. (Not really. But if you're from Bodø you're basically Mediterannean. https://www.google.com/maps/@67.3068571,14.206866,10z ) That's because you ...

Re: One ski to rule them all! A one ski quiver for all disciplines

Nope, not going to happen. Not saying I¨m gonna choose this over my skate skis for dedicated skate sessions, but I¨m not gonna diversify into multiple BC skis, because there¨s no need. This setup can do everything. It¨s about simplicity. Going on a-b trips and having a setup that just deals with ev...

Re: One ski to rule them all! A one ski quiver for all disciplines

I suspect that kick wax is better in many circumstances yes but I really don¨t want to faff around with it. I¨d also lose some flexibility since I wouldn¨t be able to change between skating and kick and glide on the fly as easily and quickly as I can with skins. Kick wax glides, if you want to skat...

Re: What is the closest you have come to buying the farm skiing?

I almost wet my pants once, stuck on the chair. It was horrible. My cousin was going up a chair at Glen Ellen in VT and stuck his tongue out at me when I was under it which promptly froze to the chair rail- sucked for him at end! ... he ate cold soup for a long time. We could have combined forces. ...

Re: What is the closest you have come to buying the farm skiing?

I'll bite. Waterville Valley resort 1990. Winter break from college charging the groomers, not a care in the world and going too fast. Crashed into an unfortunate woman full on that I didn't see until too late as she cut onto my trail suddenly. I tried to avoid her but ended up clipping her and sma...
