Re: What happened to Baaahb?

A little unsettling that he's been missing, and obviously none of us have heard any news. He's been a regular for a long while.
Got me wondering about RobRox, too. I've always appreciated having both of 'em around.

Oops, nevermind.

Mentioning this because I seem to recall a few folks have been trying to track some down, and they're getting hard to find. 27.5 in an Excursion would be same shell as a 27. They're over in a swap board on the earn your turns backcountry forums.

Edited because they're listed here!

Re: Is Outdoor buddies in Sweden a legitnstore?

Don't know about that particular vendor, but I've ordered stuff from Norway or Sweden with lower shipping cost, and faster delivery, than some U.S, companies.

Re: Morrow liners in Excursions? Anyone tried 'em?

Aha, I thought you might have some insight on that! Do you thing the Morrow's might fit well enough? Anything you find preferable with them?

Re: Morrow liners in Excursions? Anyone tried 'em?

Answer to my own question: found 'em on Ebay, in 8 or 10 only. Not so sure about stuffing the 10's into my 27 Excursions; I'm a 9.5. Which leads me to the temptation of springing for the Pro Tours, encouraged by BGregoire's glowing recommendations of that liner.

Re: The Finest Leathers: Nordic Norm 75mm Backcountry/Telemark Boots

Segeta, as long as you clip into the bindings correctly, any of those good leather boots can last for many years with no de-lam. Damage to the pinholes comes from incorrect clipping in. Sole de-lam often comes from the stitching of the welt braking down. It's important to seal the stitching with a h...

Re: Beginner tele setup

Hi Noobie, and welcome to the forum. My personal take on the boots/bindings: As far as fit, sounds like Scarpa's will likely be the closest fit for you. I have a narrow foot, with a high arch and instep, and they've been the best for me. Beware of too stiff a boot: they'll make the learning curve ha...

"Did you ever use a clothes pin to hold a baseball card in your bicycle spokes? I was a thing when I was a kid. After five minutes the charm was over for me." This may not need explaining, but if it does: What Fisheater means is that the scales are noisy on piste, and they are a bit slow, especially...
