Re: NTN: Rottefella Freeride versus 22 Designs Outlaw Review
Here's a reply to a rather old post... I have been a long time 22 Designs fan. Just gave up the Hammerhead with stiff springs to Outlaw X with only stiff spring (there's an optional inner spring that increases the tension). I skied a friend's skis with Freerides and found them ridiculously active an...

Re: Crispi World Cup Evo NTN fit
Good to know on the liners! Thanks! I have been skiing my old T-race liners in the Workd Cup boots. One thing I hadn't considered before was how the liner fit the boot shell. The T-Race wrap liner is straight up in the back, due to mods I have made to take up volume in the lower leg. The way the boo...

Re: Shimming 22 Designs Outlaw?
Oh - an to answer your question, yes I have changed the cuff angle, but that's not my issue.
One would have to ski both back to back to understand what I am describing, I'd bet.

Re: Shimming 22 Designs Outlaw?
After posting this I compared the boot in both bindings. It appears that the 3 degree ramp of the Outlaw is actually rearward, putting the toes high. The differentiation I believe is in the fact that the Freeride holds your foot flat, where the outlaw seems to have you 'toe and heel high'. I really ...

Shimming 22 Designs Outlaw?
Hi Folks - I have been skiing outlaws this year - 100% lift serve. I had the opportunity to try a friend's Freerides the other day and was shocked by how different they felt. The experience made me realize how 'over my toes' I feel on my Outlaws. With the Freerides, I could engage the hell out of th...

Crispi World Cup Evo NTN fit
Hey Tele-Folks... Been a long time user of Scarpa T-Race boots... Had to fill up the ankle space to make them work, years ago. I recently got some Crispi World Cup boots because I wanted to go to NTN and Scarpa doesn't make my size boot. I have the same issue with these boots, the liners are very th...

Re: the magic and power of grip wax
I had some old Fischer Boundless Wax that I did kick wax tip to tail on. It was amazing in the right (colder) snow. You could walk straight up hill and then kick and glide like a mofo. I was faster on the classic track than most on their long thins. They just hooked and then glided so well.

Anyone else skiing the new Dynastar Legend?
Have the Legend x96 in 186. I am going on day 3 with the new skis and I love them. Very stable - they turn very well on groomers, but also crud and deeper snow. I have B&D shift plates mounted with Hammerheads so I have the option of moving the bindings back/forward to adjust to the situation. Right...

Re: can't get parallel
Your dominant leg is probably super dominant. Dominant leg will turn better when in the back. Dominant leg will make your other turn weak because the weaker leg is not used to doing much for a living. Remember to flex the front of your lower leg on the rearward foot, clench your butt cheeks and sque...
