Re: leg strength exercises

I would say this biggest difference is doing isolated leg and glute exercises involving bands. Vlad has some excellent exercise videos that focus on balance and strength. I wouldn’t focus on strictly ski exercise videos, I came across his videos and made a big difference on identifying my weaknesses...

Re: 2025 Tx Pro

I’m excited to get my new Tx Pros on snow! I’m pairing with the Transit and just switched to the soft springs to give them a try. Mainly will be using the setup in backcountry. So far I really like the boots. Better heel hold, love the ski walk mech and the range of motion. The flex feels smooth to ...

Re: Scarpa F1 with Transit Questions

For what’s it’s worth I have the F3 which are a little heavier then the f1s. The flex on the sole of the boot and bellows is not as smooth as a tele boot. It’s stiffer and not as natural. The boot skied fine with my transits and Ultravectors but it wasn’t anything to rave about. They were just light...

Re: Alpina Pioneer PI Pro Vital XP Discoverer XPLORE boots Review 2022

Howdy,

How would the Alpina Pioneer stack up against the Fischer Traverse? The Fischer looks like one of the beefier boots in the Xplore range.

Re: Skiing Bigger Descents in the XCD Style

Agreed! And longer than a 178cm Voile is making a longer Endeavor 184 or so for upcoming season when I chatted with them! AMAZING! Thanks for letting me know! I've been sending them emails for years asking for a longer Objective/Endeavor and they were always-- there's no market for it, etc etc Can'...

Re: Skiing Bigger Descents in the XCD Style

I wish Voile made a slightly different ski from their lineup that is more XCD. In between an Endeavor and Sbound 98 as far as dimensions go. Float decent on the powder and be an efficient kick and glide ski for the flats. Something similar to the Endeavor but not as much rocker and a bit narrower. ...

Re: Permanent Glide Wax?

I tried it on my Voile Objective BC's. I don't mind waxing, but hot waxing scales is a pain so I thought this would be a time saver. While Phantom may work OK for flat bases at the resort, it's not good for scales in the backcountry. Phantom leaves the bases with more stiction than wax. At the reso...
