Re: Help! Where can I get Xplore-ready boots in Canada?

Demers Bicycle in Quebec has a huge variety available. Oberson in Quebec has a couple of different pairs. SPRY in Blairmore has Rossi. La Cordee has an Alpina boot. Norseman in Calgary has Rossi. Just Google the boot you’re interested in and add Canada to the search. Really like my Alpina Pi Tech, f...

Re: Booze

That Fireball stuff is awesome on a trek- warms you immediately! Also creates the illusion of being 10’ tall and bulletproof.

Re: Gear Basket

La Cordee has their Black Friday specials extended to Åsnes now. Think I’m all shopped out gearwise this year (never mind LH!) but some pretty good discounts from normal pricing…

Re: Ideal ski for a long tour in variable conditions.

My vote is Ingstad. You describe varying conditions where the scales and an Xskin would shine. Its also lighter and turns better than the USGI (I own both). Re: Skiing fat tire bike trails

Manny mentioned Sverdrup and J.S.K is digging his Objectives. I’ve used Hoks (slooowww), Gammes (keep the skins on for descents, hairpins are scary as f*^k), Nansens (see previous), Ingstad (see previous), and Rossignol BC120’s (tried out both skin and kickwax for climbing) which were slightly more ...

Re: Side Hustles

I’m pretty fortunate to have overtime available to me if I wanted it, otherwise I’d be building decks and other handyman kinda stuff. I’ve done a lot of snow shoveling in the past as well- getting paid to workout is sweet.

Re: The Alberta XCD thread

The RCR card is still an okay deal if you’re just going a few times, good for other RCR resorts too.

Re: The Alberta XCD thread

Snow is abundant in S.E. BC, nice powder over a harder base😁

Fernie Resort opens tomorrow. Might have to sell some organs to pay for a day…
