The ski is most likely fine, a lot of shops won't bother touching stuff like that just to avoid the risk. Drill out the rotted wood and fill with a wood plug or dowel, using a slow-cure flexible epoxy to seal it all up.

Sizing-wise, these fit similar to other 28.5/29 Scarpa shells I have skied in the past, TX Pro 1.0, T2 eco, Defender, T4 etc, despite the 318mm BSL vs whats normally 325 or so.

The F3 is a closer relative to the T2, the F1 is a bit of a different boot, particularly the F1 Race. The F1 race compared to the F1 (with the tongue) is a bit trimmed down, and actually has more flex through the sole as a result. I've been eyeing that new scaled Voile skimo ski as well, wondering if it could be a good match for an Xplore boot/binding.

Anybody know if the heel cables from Rottefella, Super telemark cable (I think) will fit on a Voile cable toe piece? I know the width of the 'hook' and the diameter of the pivot differs between the Voile cable and Voile hardwire. I'm wondering if I could upgrade my Voile cables with these Rotte cart...

Yeah I was wondering if anyone else had any real world experience with these sizing-wise. I know some have preference for longer or shorter than the chart would suggest. Doesn't seem like too many folks have gotten to ski an Otto yet, or at least only a couple ride reports.

Can anybody else comment on how to size these puppies? I'm eyeing the 200's in the Turnaround but worried about the reportedly massive camber and my 6'2 75kg beanpole stature.
