Re: Åsnes Mountain Race Skin Sizing
Thank you guys for all your wisdom and shared experiences! I am not quite sure how to proceed now. The skis are meant for getting into the backcountry on groomed tracks and then head out in the unprepared areas and back. So a Mountainrace would make perfect sense. I have some Madshus Endurace Classi...

Åsnes Mountain Race Skin Sizing
Hey there Lurk-People, I try to get myself a pair of Åsnes Mountain Race Skis if I find a good end of season discount somewhere. I am 1.80 m and 75 Kg (naked) - which size would you get? Asnes says 1.90m what do you say? I will use the Ski at the Swiss Jura Mountainrange where there is a combination...

Re: Thoughts on Xplore from a XC racing enthusiast
Hei Peter, spot on :) I've seen this vid before, it's a great one! I'd say we're evenly matched skill wise (Yet I have no video of my own to back it up ;) ). You can see at 0:22 how he's tippy toed in his skate boot, and this is how I solve the turn as well. This is another interesting use case. Ha...

Re: Thoughts on Xplore from a XC racing enthusiast
I've been challenging myself to do teleturns with racing equipment, to a point where I can ski easy to intermediate alpine tracks in soft conditions on this equipment (fun, but not recommended). telemarius Is that you, Marius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuPrVub9bEo Mange hilsener fra Sveits, P...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review
Mounting is super easy. They come with TORX screws. 5 holes in each ski. And the coolest thing is that you can use 2 holes from your previous NNN-BC mount and still be around pin line... 8-) Oh, also... FWIW, I don't even bother with 2 of the screws... I just don't use them. I feel like 3 screws is...

Re: How to get started?
Conclusions: 1) Is BC55 more like a Gamme copy than old Glittertind rebranded? 2) I guess the BC55 is similar for downhill as Gamme because it has similar sidecur and nordic rocker. Thanks for the neoprene bootie tip, too! I have broad but rather low feet, and 1.5 euro sizes oversize boots for conv...

Re: How to get started?
By the way, if you’re lighter maybe an Objective would suit you better. At my 190 lbs. 86 kilos, I think the longest Objective is just too short for me. fisheater thank you for your reply. As for the Voilé Objective - you would use it in ski resorts? Or as an overal xcD training machine? Cheers, Pe...

Re: How to get started?
@Peschamel out of curiosity, do the BC55's have nordic rocker? I mean when you press the skis together at center of ski, do ski tips go farther away from each other? This just out of curiosity :) / "for science @tkarhu I allowed myself to answer your question with a little video. https://youtu.be/H...

Re: How to get started?
Thank you Matt for your suggestion - I absolutely see your point. There is one problem for me: I have low volume duckfeet with narrow heels and I always struggle to find boots that have a wide toebox but are small enough that I can fix my heel properly. So I would need exactly the right and custom f...
