Re: Long skis. Short Car.
I have a Thule Motion XT XXL on the roof. It fits a pulka and several pairs of 210 cm skis concurrently. 215 should fit according to specs The Motion 3 XXL, both in standard and low, are specified to fit 215 cm skis as well. My roof box basically lives on the car. It's so practical for extra luggage...

Re: crampon vs skins
I used to have a pair for G3 targa ascent Tele bindings. The bindings and crampons were designed to function together. Not sure if there are 3 pin bindings meant for this use.

Re: Fischer BCX vs Lundhags Abisku
I tried a Lundhags abisku xplore but my feet couldnt get in past the arch. Somehow my feet are not compatible with them. Bummer. Thankfully this wasn't an overseas shipping item. If you have high volume feet, beware. Someone else here in the review thread (I think) has commented that they have the s...

Re: asnes nansen delamination :(
I'm a bit surprised that this is considered normal by several people here. I really like Åsnes skis but if used within intended use scope i would not expect them to fail catastrophically for several years of good use. I would contact them for a replacement.

Re: Fake Fjalraven cotton anorak
I suspect the Norrona's cotton fabric is very similar if not the same as Ventile. I ski in a pair of Arcteryx ski-touring pants that were actually made in Canada, the last year they made them there- very durable and comfortable, might last forever. Norrøna selling unlabeled ventile at a third of it...

Re: Fake Fjalraven cotton anorak
randoskier I'm not convinced that polycotton is cheaper than cotton to produce. I've used it quite extensively since being in the military (army fatigues were polycotton and subjected to a lot of abuse) and I find it more durable and quicker drying than pure cotton. Of course, any synthetics will c...
