I have a pair of 28.5 crispi shivers 4 buckle version, the brown/white model. Think it is at least 10 years old. It fits me really well. Maybe a little bit loose, but really comfy. Ja, simple heel lock would be nice built into the freeride.

However, I agree, after I got the freeride myself, my interest in Frankentele is almost gone.

I couldn't get my orange freerides onto the pink plastic plates. I found a set of older metal plates to mount on my second pair of skis.
