Alfa Kikut <-> Salomon Escape Outback

So from looking at photos, it looks like the Salomon Escape Outback is the Alfa Kikut with Salomon's own logo, and in text description, to have Salomon's proprietary WPB membrane instead of GoreTex Warm as in the Kikut. For sure made in the same factory, and I reckon Salomon subbed out Alfa for prod...

Re: Rex Grip Tape

Thanks for letting me know your experience! Looking forward to giving it a try, and encouraging to hear it's a good, more convenient and durable, replacement for klister, especially for models that don't have an integrated skin option. As an aside, I did the EMGT back in the early 00's on waxable me...

Re: Rex Grip Tape

Hi, just getting set up on some Asnes Amundsen BCs (still waiting on the Alfa Kikut boots, coming from Varuste), and have decided to go with Start Grip Tape (at least to start, especially with temps warming up) after being out of waxing since early 00's. I'll be using these for in-, out-of track and...

Re: 19/20 Madshus Panorama M55 Intelligrip Transition ski - initial impressions

Thanks for the reply! Åsnes it is, then. Was hoping the Intelligrip skin system would be good with how low-profile it is compared to the X-skin system, but oh well. Future might hold a quiver with an integrated-skin ski for refrozen/high-temps.

Re: 19/20 Madshus Panorama M55 Intelligrip Transition ski - initial impressions

Hi, considering these skis, and just looking for any updates/long-term reviews to see if the skin-peg issue has been rectified or improved. I actually raced the EMGT on some waxable Glittertinds and 3-pin lace-ups and they were brilliant, although the snow conditions were about as good as you could ...

Sintered or extruded bases on Madshus Fjelltech & Panorama?

Hi, wanting to know if the ptex on the bases of the Fjelltech and Panorama models are extruded or sintered. Only thing mentioned on the Madshus site that I can find about the bases are that they’re “fluor free”. For the price point they’re at, I’m guessing extruded, but wanted to check. Thanks!

Re: Need lightweight Tele ski recommendations

Maybe try to find some Scarpa F1s, F3s or Defenders and pair them with Voile TTS bindings and ski of your choice? If you keep your eyes open on marketplace posts and solicit on same you'll probably come across some eventually. Saw one totally unconfirmed post that Scarpa is redoing their tele lineup...

Central Cascade partners wanted

Hey, just moved here (Seattle) this past fall. Looking for some b/c partners. I've got Sat-Mon off (this quarter). Up for just about anything, day tours, peaks, etc. Hit me up and lets get out there!
