I learned tele on light nordic racing gear in the 80s. after practice we would herringbone up a ski slope and tele down. this was before high top skate boots. you hade to finesse your turns since you had no torque.

so basically you are now doing Alpemark or Telepine. the terms are interchangeable

T2's are great, but they got the magic blessing of gear hoarders and the price went up...not as bad as F1's, but same idea. Garmont makes a few boots that will be great. I can tour all day in my Excursions. are they overkill for skinny skis? no, not if they are cheap and comfortable. in the old days...

remember: its easy to do parallel turns in tele boots, but its much harder to do tele turns in alpine boots

this fall I bought some Excursions on FB market place > I think I paid $40. they will work fine for what you are describing

shhhhh. don't tell anyone, but.....I make parallel turns with my modern tele gear about 50% of the time. that 50% of the time is on easier terrain. I save my legs for tele turns for when it gets steep and/or bumpy. I also make parallel turns on my 20+ year old tele gear that I like to mess around on...
