Re: TX-PRO vs alpine boot flex numbers?
Like I wrote in the first post, I’m aware the flex scale is far from standard. What I mean, simplified, is more like: how do a Scarpa TX Comp/Pro compare to a standard alpine boot in terms of flex? Scarpa says the Pro is “100” but I have hard to believe any alpine boot that is given a “100” in the a...

TX-PRO vs alpine boot flex numbers?
I’m buying some AT Boots and I’m not sure what flex I want. Normal flex is said to be 100 and kind of pro freeride boots are around 120, racing is 130 and up. I had some alpine boots that felt too stiff, so I think I want some middle ground, but I haven’t bothered with alpine in 20+ years . I know t...

Re: Crispi Evo Toe-crunch. Size down?
Yes. I found something that works but is getting too soft. The reason I want to go smaller is quite obvious, toe crunch is worse with a larger shell since the bending is more forward on the toe. But I'm not sure it's enough.

Crispi Evo Toe-crunch. Size down?
I ski low and high and paralell depending on mood and conditions, but I like to be able to go low when I feel like it. 8 years ago I bought a pair of Crispi Evos size 28,5 (shell 28,5-29). Loved the controll, hated the toe crunch. Tried plastic toe prorection etc but I ended up buying Scarpa TX Comp...

Re: Black Crows Freebird + Tele. Real world experience?
Actually I don't know which generation Navis Freebird I have. They haven't got any marking on where the titanal reinforcement is, so I guess it's the old ones then? It could be a large titanal plate or none at all. It seems really strange to make such a thing to make the skis a tiny bit lighter, it'...

Black Crows Freebird + Tele. Real world experience?
I know Black Crows voids the warranty if I rip of the top sheet using Tele bindings on their Freebird line, but is this a problem in the real world for all Freebird skis? I have a beat up pair of Navis Freebird that I like to put some Rottefella freedom or 22 Lynx on. I've read that people have used...
