Re: Fischer GTS Telemark delamination

Oh, man. I was originally thinking the epoxy and syringe too, but I usually go overboard on solution and details, so just went with quick and easy (polyurethane glue). But definitely, the epoxy and syringe would be the ideal solution. Thing is, if you don’t have the epoxy already, you have to go out...

Re: wind chill factor

Have you noticed that randoskier has only started the thread with 2 posts and has not posted anything else since? For me, his original post was like a click bait…. And we have keep feeding the thread ever since. Stop confusing things with rational statements. Let the madness continue — how many pag...

Re: Fischer GTS Telemark delamination

Brynski , your thought about moisture and swelling seems like a possible explanation. If it was me, I think I would try something fairly simple like squeezing polyurethane glue in the gap. If you cared about cosmetics, you could tape off the white sidewall first. Let it cure and trim off any excess...

@tkarhu, thanks for putting that together — I’m sure that took some work.
There is plenty of useful information for anyone looking to learn or improve technique.

Re: Brand New Meidjo with Quality Control Issue

I agree that this is *probably* a non-issue. However, I don’t want to to be thinking about it, or worse yet, having to come up with a replacement pin, if one should happen to fall out. The dynamics of the mechanism favor the pin backing out of its holder in only one direction. In the photo, below, t...

Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Review 2022

When I feel my back ski want to drift back, it because I don't have enough weight on it. Concentrate on the back foot even more. My guess is that as you pick up speed you get too far forward and the weight comes off that ski. That’s about right. Also, I think I shift weight to the leg with the stro...

Re: Brand New Meidjo with Quality Control Issue

JohnSKepler , you made me look — glad I did. One of the pins was out of place. Red ones have been used about 10 - 12 times and purchased Late 2021. Black ones purchased Late 2022. I wonder if the rotational action of the pivot caused the pin to back out? The Kickstand rotates with every step or tur...

There have been a few times when I wonder why I can’t ski — then I realize my TX Pros are in walk mode.

Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Review 2022

Stephen if you work on keeping your stance tight enough to keep that heel low it will have many benefits. Right, that was one of my points in one of the pictures. As long as my back foot didn’t go back any further than in the picture, I could keep the BOF on the ski. Stating the obvious once again,...
