Re: Scarpa TX

The original Terminator X was orange, got an updated lower shell after cracks (the original had a matt/satin finish on the toe, but the updated had a partly glossy toe). It was then updated to this black and green model with different buckles, before it was discontinued and just the higher/stiffer T...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

You can find mounting instructions and templates on rottefella.com:

Unfortunately the manual for Xplore isn't up, but the template is. It looks easier than NNN-BC, but requires one extra screw.

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

The magazine (Fri Flyt, same conglomerate as Utemagasinet) came out yesterday. They had tested the prototype bindings from this spring, as well as Alfa Free APS and Alpina Alaska XP prototypes, but all pictures shows the Free boot and the author sounds like he only tested that boot. The title is "Wh...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

I'm sure the boots and bindings will also be sold separately, at least here in Norway, but there might be package deals some places. If supply is limited, then things might change. The Alfa prices are list prices for just the boots, which we are often able to get some discount on, like in a package ...

Do you think that the Xplore binding will work in a groomed Classic track?
I'll see, Xplore looks better than 75 mm at least. The tracks I'll be skiing in are not for training/racing, but more for touring so they aren't the most narrow and deep.

Re: Bindings for Asnes Rabb 68

If you already are buying Xplore boots and bindings for the Rabbs _and_ unless you want different boot for the Ingstads, then it is just as cheap if not cheaper to go for Xplore bindings on Ingstad, so it depends. The price difference for the bindings is about 130-140 euro at MSRP and we'll see how ...

Re: Bindings for Asnes Rabb 68

I'd put Xplore on both skis, but it depends on your use (and possibly what other equipment you have already). A light rando boot and binding would also suit the Rabb and give more control on hard snow, so again it depends on your preference. I'll put Xplore on a pair of Åsnes Ouslands even if the bi...

Re: Alpina Alaska XP XPlore Boot review

Here in Norway Xplore is listed in at least one online shop with arrival on 30th of November. Alfa lists the boots shipping as soon as possible after 1st of November. It'll be interesting to see when and how much will be available.

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

These look good to me: https://m.sportalbert.de/alfa-back-country-tourenschuh-skaget-pe_ALFA375-107-11142_p.dpage I'm actually hoping that there will be a BC version Alfa Skaget is the most interesting of the Xplore boots so far to me, both sufficiently high and also the cheapest, and I'm very curi...

Re: Alpina Alaska XP XPlore Boot review

Alpina Alaska XP looks like an excellent boot for long distance XC touring with great comfort, but not the best for more hilly tours with steeper and/or icy descents. I personally first want an Xplore version of the Alaska with high cuff, good ankle support and much power to drive wider skis, includ...
