Re: What is the closest you have come to buying the farm skiing?

My cousin was going up a chair at Glen Ellen in VT and stuck his tongue out at me when I was under it which promptly froze to the chair rail- sucked for him at end! ... he ate cold soup for a long time. We could have combined forces. Warm urine and all.... A joint USAF Navy exercise Word!

Re: “Best” Telemark Ski for Rockies and West Coast

The range of stuff that works out here is huge. This might be an area where 2 skis with some overlap would make sense. My younger son skis Big CC and Little CC with days at resorts as well. He's on a pair of 4FRNT Hojis (Meidjo and Tx Pro) which would be ridiculous for someone my age, but he rips. B...

I almost wet my pants once, stuck on the chair. It was horrible.
How did they get you off, it involves girls I hope....
I wish!
Only if they were the mechanics that fixed the lift.

These guys love it too. "...Ripstick maintains its light weight and fun-loving personality and brings them into this next season. We always talk about the ~88 mm underfoot range as being the most versatile for true all-mountain skiing, especially here in the east, and the Ripstick is no exception." ...

Re: Ski area traffic

...a gondola system is out of the question. I didn't see the routing and spacing of the towers as an issue in either the small bouldering fields or the slabs on the canyon walls. Now it appears that they will head up and widen the canyon road to the extent that they can. For the LCC discussion/deci...

Re: Meidjo NTN 2.0 review/warning

I'm really tempted to make a new end nut to replace the red ones that is longer. I think this would be a really easy fix (for Meidjo), combined with a longer stiff spring. Dostie (of Dostie's View on YT) and Freeheel Life in Salt Lake City might be good contact points to pass that on to the M folks.

Re: Meidjo NTN 2.0 review/warning

I think abike18 is correct. I don't know what my setting is because I've put in the powder blocks and removed the plastic piece with the numbers on it, but I expect it's close to "1". I expect strengthening the plate would help in addition to lengthening the spring travel. I'm using the stiff single...

Re: Best tele ski for east coast resorts.

I skied the World Piste and Work Stinx for a couple of years, years ago. I think they are great for getting into the sport, but with the gear you're using and your experience level, I think you'd get a lot more out of a modern ski. Technologies and designs have come a long way in a pretty short time...
