Re: Toe bang, really want to make boots work.

Everyone is different, and most of my experience is with T2 Eco (and Garmont Syner-G) and above, in height and stiffness (mostly NTN), plus alpine boots. I usually go for 2 fingers in shell fit. I'm inclined to believe your shell is just too small.

Re: Telehiro and B-Tele Discussion

"I guess the bottom line is, do what's necessary, mix and match if you need to. A, B, whatever. If it works, do it." Exactly how I look at it. Think I've added that comment on a few threads here over the years. More importantly, I'd like to say your skiing looks very good, Montana, and especially g...

This was from last weekend at Belleayre Mountain in the Catskills. We saw a few other telemarkers anyone else skiing there?

The last time I skied Belleayre was in 1969. We had some races there (alpine) when I was in H.S.

That looked like a fantastic trip rando, and great pictures. It's nice to go back to places where your friends with the locals. Al there is good movie debuting tonight on Net Flix about the Sami people- it is based on a novel written by a Swedish Sami woman about some of the tribulations they endur...

Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!

If you use a pulk I highly recommend that you build a rear-brake so that when you pause during an ascent your pulk cannot slide backwards and pull on you. It only requires an alu piano-hinge and a piece of plastic (or alu) for the flap- I used UHMWPE stock because I had it laying around- I braced t...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)

As for your Crispis, you could thermofit them again, if the insert allows. Will thermofitting reduce the size of the innerliner? Not sure if these shoes have innerliners which cat be termofitted: Was on a strict budget when they were purchased. I think thermofitting expands the foam in the liner, m...

Re: Boot recommendations for TTS-setup (Moonlight Pure tele)

The old boots are a pair of Crispi (XR?) boots. These have worked well enough, but they are too roomy and therefore I cannot unlease their full potential - feels like I'm sliding around in them when pushing. So the question is - which boots should I get for my "new" skies and bindigs? The following...

Re: why is snow so slow?

It's the opposite, without skins. Fast in the shade, over the handlebars in the sun.

Re: What is the one thing that will cut your ski day short?

Usually something like a broken binding. Or body part. I seem to be running out of useable body parts!
