SLC meadow skipping. Voile Objectives / NNNBC / Alfa Guard. It's weird... but it works.

Re: Technique feedback thread - post a video.
Voile objectives with leathers today. I've developed a much more upright stance. https://youtube.com/shorts/ZoGu8Y812Lk?si=BDD1dQRRSPYbwhQD awesome terrain-- i grew up in durango but have only spent much time around andrews lake in summer. looks like perfect xcd conditions. i also ski the objective...

Thule chariot harness/Hauling kids
Child pulks come up occasionally on this site. I did a lot of skiing with Fjellpulken (both groomed and ungroomed terrain) with our first kid. We had an addition to the family and recently acquired the Thule chariot for 2. This is great so far on groomed terrain and has some advantages over fjellpul...

Re: S-Bound 98 Length Recommendations
I'm similar weight (and more like 6') height. I ski in the SLC area and have both the 188 FT62 xplore model and 189 sbound 98 (from ~2019). I ski on nnnbc. FT62 is unfortunately better in all ways except option for scales: turns more easily, "floats" better in powder, handles hardpack much better. ....

@Ullrsson @lilcliffy
Any thoughts on how amundsen performs as a skate ski on flatter but choppy snowmobile track? Would ski it a bit short I think. Thanks

Re: best ski for snowmachine trails, mixed classic/skate
Verdict on skating a shorter gamme? Short gamme for me would be a good long gamme for my wife... multipurpose tool. This makes me think the category c camber (https://asnes-academy.com/en/choose-the-right-gear/everything-you-need-to-know-about-camber-in-cross-country-bc-skis/) is most akin to a skat...

best ski for snowmachine trails, mixed classic/skate
Looking for a new ski for fast adventures on packed snowmachine trails-- envisioning skating flat terrain and kicker skin for sustained climbs (or maybe wax if ideal condition). Would think mounting nnnbc with alfa skarvet and red flexor for prolonged skating. Thinking about fischer transnordic 59 o...

Re: Falketind 62 X with Scales
that would be great for corn season. i love my ft62.
i agree fischer sbound 98 is similar. that was my first xcd ski and started this whole thing.... very aggressive scale pattern.
fwiw - asnes waxless pattern leaves much to be desired so even if they made a waxless ft62 it might not do the trick.
