Re: Need lightweight Tele ski recommendations

I am facing same question. T2s feel like a real downhill boot to me. I have gone lighter with a leather boot but struggle on the downhills in hardpack/ice which is most of the year for us on the east coast. I have heard scarpa is working on a new boot similar to current light AT but that we are at l...

Re: Åsnes NOSI 76 Ski Review

Can you comment on downhill stability of the ski? These days I am skiing mostly at the local resort-skin up tele down. I am trying a leather boot with FT62 but find it unstable on the downhill (blue trails and steeper) and am considering a wider ski vs switching to something like a scarpa T4. The no...

Re: Leather boot resort skiing

That sounds like it might have been part of the issue. I was getting a lot of “vibration” when edging and side slipping was challenging. I think the narrow waist also creates a “learning curve” but maybe if I am able to side slip better I can get past it.

Re: Leather boot resort skiing

Thanks! That is what I was wondering. I have heard that a ski that is closer to boot width feels more stable perhaps one of the wider asnes skis would work? The blizzard zero g 85 seems popular as a light AT setup but I haven’t heard how something like that does with a 3pin leather. I’ll check out t...

Re: Leather boot resort skiing

Thanks regarding posts! I realize people use to tele ski with the equivalent of Europa 99s I am not trying to recreate the past! However it seems leather boots are superior to any AT setup I have tried for uphil and traverse and am trying to get a ski that is light for uphills but a little more forg...

Leather boot resort skiing

So really enjoying my crispi Antarctic boot with falketind ski and Voilé traverse binding. Been using it for skimo type skiing at local resort and it is way better uphill than any plastic boot I have used. However on the downhills I feel jittery and struggle to hold an edge in the typical east coast...

Re: The Great North American ASNES FEVER!

Does anyone know where I could get FT 62 skis most likely 180 or 188 for this winter-looks like Sport Albert is backordered for now.

Thanks!

Re: asnes Ingstad waxless vs BC/waxable

Thanks for reply! Sounds like the FT 62 is the ski I am looking for-fun downhill performance without too much XC sacrifice. I am in Northampton MA and ski mostly Berkshire East and Mt Snow skin up and tele down. Mostly XC ski tracked areas. Would like to get off track in the MA hilltowns/VT/NH. Just...

asnes Ingstad waxless vs BC/waxable

Hi, new to forum! Thanks for all the great XCD advice! I am looking for backcountry setup and have been considering the whole range of Asnes skis. I grew up in Norway and XC raced through college, but more recently have been doing mostly tele skiing/skinning at resorts in scarpa T2 setup with G3 bin...
