Re: Which ski for steep downhill narrow trails with a 50 lbm backpack
because of COVID and a factory fire, since the 2020 model, this ski has gone through several permutations since. Which year model ski is yourTN66? and which base? 2022-2023 season wax base made in Czechia. This is what really confused me. These skis are very little like what people describe the E99...

Re: Older? Asnes Nansen 200cm in Concord, NH
Ohhh, that is kinda tempting.
I'm in Concord NH as well, and already have an unhealthy number of skis, but nothing waxable in this width.
I should probably feel the flex of the ski before deciding, though

Re: Fischer Traverse 78 Ski Length Recommendations
When you say you are 10lbs too light for your Traverse 78 skis, does that factor in only your body weight, or also the weight of your clothes, boots, backpack, and other winter gear? Part of the difficulty in turning might be that the Spider 62 is a ski with a soft round flex, while the Traverse 78 ...

Re: Unapologetic love note to the Fischer E99 (now Transnordic 66)
I picked up some new-to-me ~15 year old, 210cm long E99 skis this fall: e99.jpg They felt a little slow when I used them on Tripoli Road this past week, but Strava shows that feeling was deceptive. I ended up setting two new personal segment records. Better than expected. These are much faster than ...

Re: Skis for firm-ish conditions edgeable with Madshus Xplore boots?
In another thread the Åsnes Ingstad skis were said to be good in soft snow, but not so much in firmer conditions. While it is true that the Ingstad skis work better in soft snow than they do in hard snow, they aren't a bad ski in hard snow either. The tip rocker and stiffness help make the skis pre...

Re: What ski after the Åsnes Gamme?
I have been skiing the åsnes Gamme the 2 last years in the forest and “mountains” around Oslo. I am now looking for something more playful more off-road than the Gamme. I was considering the Ingstad ( still capable for long trip) or Altai Kom or even Madhus M78. Any other ski I forgot? :?: If you w...

Re: Fischer 23/24 EZ skin models.
Telemark Pyrenees have the TN66 Crown either with or without the Easy Skin slots, but the ones with are considerably more expensive. Despite this, they're the ones I'd buy. There's also a 68mm(?) ski with the Easy Skin slots, but the description of this at T-P confusingly refers to the TN66. Don't ...

Hey, I was at the ski swap, too.
If I didn't already have a pair of Scott Excursions in size 28, in Concord, NH, I would be tempted

Re: Nordic BC and touring Skis for beginner...
I am planning to learn specifically BC skiing since where I live that's all I can do, there are no groomed trails, it's a town in Finland of 5000 people with not much going; but I am also hoping to get decent and do ski trips to better areas, like in the Finnish and Norwegian Lapland, far more hill...

Re: Where to buy Asnes mountain race?
MR 48's haven't been coming in. Their last pairs were sold on clearance type sales (a couple years ago) or something and don't believe more will arrive. I believed Asnes stopped producing that ski, however, I may be incorrect about that and other info. Sport Albert still has some waxable Mountain R...
