I'm so sorry everyone, I'm very embarrassed but you're you're right. It was the wrong boot.
That's a mistake most of us have probably made before. I have skied down a mountain with my skis on the wrong foot, only to have a friend point it out at the bottom.

Re: New waxless XCD skis 2021-22

The extend of the scales on this ski literally created a new class of ski by itself. We now have a GZL ski…Glide Zone Less… The glide zones cover the entire length of the ski, they are just alongside the fishscales. I am sure they glide great when you are trying to navigate a side hill and could re...

Re: New waxless XCD skis 2021-22

I tried several times in the past 5 years to get my hands on the previously super-shaped Outlanders... Without any luck... (Click to zoom) ES-2021_036-Oulander_w1.jpg I'm not sure that old sidecut made a whole lot of sense, to be honest. In order to use that sidecut for turning, the skishoe would n...

Re: OAC EA Binding/USGI Karhu mounting position

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can give me guidance on how to mount these OAC EA 2.0 Bindings to USGI Karhu skis (87-71-78) (bought from eBay). Plans are to use these as an alternative to snowshoes for winter camping (with 30-50lb pack, no pulk), rolling terrains of the Midwest, virtually 0 ski e...

Re: New waxless XCD skis 2021-22

As you know, there is one thing I really don't appreciate: ❖verpriced cheap skis. But what about cheap skis for a very cheap price? This is what Erik Sports' Whitewoods has always been about. Sometimes the cost savings is in the build, sometimes it is in the R&D. The year after Alpina got kicked ou...

Re: Unanswered Question

The same thing happened that happens in any online community: the people who participate talk about the things they like to talk about.

I'm not sure exactly what it is you like to talk about, but if it's in any way skiing related I'll probably have an interest in participating in your threads :)

East Side is almost always better skiing btw...
I'll add the East Side trail to my list.

I just put Cherry Mountain Road on the list too, for what it's worth.

Re: Asnes Ingstad vs. Fischer S-bound 98?

I do realize the 75mm Rotefella Super Tele would hang off the edge of the skis too much with such a small waist (both on 88's and the Discovery 80's). There are two cases where the binding hanging over the edge of the ski can cause issues: you are skiing in the tracks, and your binding is scraping ...

Re: Wildly speculative talk about Asnes 21-22 lineup: Otto/FT62

I have Ingstads, and am still planning to buy a pair of Sverdrup skis for next season. Which skie would you choose if you could have only one? Every ski has something that I like. I like how the Sondre flexes relatively easily, and how it is fast and tracks well due to being narrow. I like how the ...
