Re: fixing a broken tip

I took out these rescue E99 skis for a 10 mile trip on the Franconia Notch bike trail yesterday. They feel very different from any other ski I have. Fairly stiff underfoot, but still responsive, stable, and easy to control (at least on mellow terrain). The weather, the views, and hanging out with a ...

Re: Wildly speculative talk about Asnes 21-22 lineup: Otto/FT62

My latest conclution is the Ingstad 195(im 85kg) with a 75mm and stiff boot, but the sverdrup is tempting for the days all about xc. How big is the difference between these skies in reality? Can i go wrong with either? I'm also really interested in hearing about the difference between the Ottos and...

Re: Green Gamme vs Teal Gamme weight difference

Can someone remind me on the weight savings with Teal Gamme please? If you cannot find it easily, we can just measure when mine arrive in January. If the weight reduction is mostly in the tip, then the balance point might be a little further back too, which might make them just a tiny bit less turn...

Re: Wildly speculative talk about Asnes 21-22 lineup: Otto/FT62

There still are major differences. The Fischer S-Bound and Alpina Discovery skis have nordic rocker, but soft tips, which makes them chatter to the point of feeling unstable when going at speed on hard snow. No no no, my Discoveries have the stiffest tips I have ever seen, almost as stiff as racing...

Re: Wildly speculative talk about Asnes 21-22 lineup: Otto/FT62

The only reason why the FT62 was so special, was exactly because of this. It WAS a unique ski, the only one on the market in that class which such a camber profile. Now without the low single camber, without the shmear factor, without the surfy feel and with a stiffer flex, I don't see why the new ...

Re: Annum vs Ingstad vs S112?

According to the charts they are shorter on the new version. So the 192 should work great for my height and weight since I felt the 185 Annums skied an bit short. You cannot always trust those charts. Woodserson and I compared his Fischer Traverse 78 with my 2018 Alpina Discovery 80 skis, and it tu...

Re: Wooden skis.com

I picked up a 215cm pair of Asnes Tur-Langrenn skis off Craigslist today, before reading this discussion, of course. The camber feels flatter than cross countries typically do, but the wax pocket seems intact. Looking forward to learning how to maintain these skis :) Be sure to read the "Ski Care" ...

Re: Gear Basket

Rottefella NNN BC Magnum Bindings $49.27 Ended up using this to price-match locally, so no idea about the seller. https://www.vortoutlet.com/shop/rottefella-nnn-bc-magnum That's a scam web site. There are a few clues giving that away: - when you browse the web site, there is no product category for...

Re: Wooden skis.com

I block mine with a combination of Swix wax cans, or corks, or some combination of that. I have retrained some camber and tip-flattening with moderate success. Time helps. The tip thing was pretty rugged, the skis were quite flat, I dumped them in a bucket of water for three days and then used a ti...
