Re: Best skin for SB98

Ive got the fischer sbound 98s and the ez skins from them. I use them on a regular basis skiing out of my home. 6-7 mile climb about 2.5k of climbing. They work well for me.

Where are the ungroomed XC races??
Well there are races that have multiple entry disciplines like fat pursuit. That takes place on snowmobile groomed trails? Or there’s that team race in Alaska….i cant remember the name!

Just a couple options.

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN

Id really like to be able to mount a plate and then swap between nnn and nnnbc, i know i could us binding freedom, but an adjustable plate would be pretty sweet(imo).

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN

I just ordered international from Europe. What bindings are people running? Im seeing everything from nnnbc to regular nnn. I want to keep mine light, so I will probably go nnn. Screw on or plate system?

Re: Winter Travel Trailer???

Most rv’s are built for a price point and their quality reflects it, especially insulation and cold weather performance. We’ve owned a sprinter and two truck campers. The sprinter froze up at zero f, my truck camper is good down to -25’ish f as long as i keep the propane flowing. I put my truck camp...

Re: Custom riser for NNN BC bindings

I use hdpe for alot of various carpentry and even automobile projects. I usually order from: https://www.interstateplastics.com/plastic-sheets.php Regarding screws, i would stay with the similar style your using and just add the length for your riser block. Ive never done what you are talking about,...

Re: Long Distance XC race kit

Yes! Ive been eyeballing those same events for years but I haven’t taken the plunge. I will really be looking forward to reports! Are your Mountain Races the skins or wax? Are you doing much of a ‘training program’ or you doing it more freehand with a bunch of running/riding now and will just ski a ...

Re: Madshus, Rossignol or maybe something else? New to XC

I skied the sbound 98s this season, with nnn bc. They arent the fastest, but I usually ski these solo so i dont care. They descend ok with soft leathers and nnnbc in fresh snow, but firm or cut up snow its survival skiing for me. Next season these are getting swapped to 75mm leathers with cables. Th...

Re: Long trips, deep snow, but very low angle

In addition- I note that you are using NNNBC boots- if you want to keep using your boots- this is going to potentially limit the width of the ski you might consider- though this limit is a complex of the particulat boot, the snow conditions, and the skills of the skier. Casacades? Moisture-rich sno...
