Re: Thinking of buying a pair of Sbound 98’s

Welp went to my local dealer today, and the one pair of 189cm skis they had are gone, so much for instant gratification! Looks like I'll be searching the inter webs for pair and waiting for UPS to drop'em off.

Re: Thinking of buying a pair of Sbound 98’s

Tom M First off, I really enjoy your YouTube videos. Binge watching those during the hot smokey summer we had up here kept me sane! How often do you need to use the "Easy Skin" or a longer skin on those Sbound 98's? Bavarian Cream I've got some Madshus Vida boots, Im not sure were they are in stiff...

Thinking of buying a pair of Sbound 98’s

Im finishing up a few very busy weeks of work and would like to reward myself. Im looking for a good off-piste ski for rolling hills, climbing and some fun downhilling out here in NW Montana. Re: Skimo race training....for Tele

What are you using for your training reference? Uphill athlete? Also curious what resource your using for your 50k training? Sorry no input on tele gear, but I do live in Whitefish! -Chris edit -- I tried that treadmill workout this morning and nearly went flying off the back of the machine at 10 mi...

Re: Alpina Pioneer Xplore boots and skis

I’ve seen alot of chatter about this new system, but I dont fully understand where it fits? Its offering more control/stability than nnnbc but less resistance than a 75mm? Is there a cable option?

Re: Newish XC skier looking for suggestions on getting deeper out there

I live in Alaska, so I think your conditions are similar and probably more forgiving in NW Montana. bc nnn is fine. you dont need heel risers. they are light and the boots are decent for shoulder/late season which require some hiking/scrambling. nnnbc boots better than 3pin duckbill when challengin...

Re: Newish XC skier looking for suggestions on getting deeper out there

Your 64mm xc skis are too narrow and have very little sidecut...you have started on skinnies and more than likely this is way skinnier than anything you are used to at the ski resort or AT skiing... so start with a wider ski... once you get better, you can graduate to skinnier skis... I would start...
