Re: Pictures, pictures and pictures!
Winter can’t go on forever, but it seems like every ski outing is better than the last until it is the last.

Re: Gear Basket
Any CO Front Rangers looking for 10.5 Garmont Excursions? I can’t tell much about what kind of shape they’re in, but probably worth someone investigating.

Re: Fischer S-Bound vs Madshus Panorama
Welcome, André18 . All my gear is old, but I’m about 6’3” and 175, so I’ll chime in. While I don’t ski the most up to date versions of these skis, I do ski the S-bound 98 in 179cm and the Madshus Annum (predecessor to Panorama 78) in 195cm. From what I gather, the skis have gotten just slightly ligh...

Re: Telemark Technique
Henry Hardwire has been accused of being the banned Ron himself. Who cares? Aside from some small snark,I have learned as much from Ron's and Henry Hardwire's posts as anyone else. I’m no forensics writing specialist, but that’s 100% Ron and I imagine Dostie is sure of it. As Henry seems to be on h...

Re: Mounting 3 pin on used Ultravector?
Did you buy them? I vote yes to handling them with a T2. I think you might wish you had more than a simple 3-pin binding if you do more than low angles in soft snow. Those are such capable skis, even a bad skier (like me) would probably want to get sendy with them at some point. I have 3-pin hardwir...

Pending: Fischer Outtabounds Crown 179cm in CO
These are the trusty old Fischer Outtabounds Crown skis in the 179cm length. They have metal edges and a negative fish scale pattern (less kick, but more glide). The sidecut is 88mm, 68mm, 78mm. These would be good for someone who wants to xc ski in the backcountry on firm snow or soft snow over a f...

Sold: Altai Hok 145 in CO
$125 Selling a pair of Altai Hoks. These straddle the line between snowshoes, cross-country skis, and downhill skis. They are a short, wide ski with an integrated, non-removable skin underfoot. Think of them as a fast snowshoe or a slow, grippy ski. I have them mounted with the universal bindings, w...

Re: No knee drop for Noob
Hi, Tall Grass. I didn't see your previous post to me (asking where in central CO I am) in time to answer, so I'll reply to this. I'm around Fairplay Monday-Thursday, with M and W being the days that I can generally get out to ski after work (say, 5pm ish). You're generally in Summit County, no? If ...
