Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Reviews

do you see overlap in the two boots? Could one use the interchangeably, or do you see them serving two discreet activities? That's "the" interesting question for sure :) :D In short: Yes I have been using them interchangeably, with a high level of satisfaction. The long version: I think I will need...

Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Reviews

Did you find that the Alfa Free had way better kick and glide and flexibility (on flats and small grades) than the Fischer Transnordic? Or was it similar? The Transnordics are pretty great,.. Very comfortable and if you ever tried the old model, these are improved in my opinion. The extra height wa...

The good news is that Alfa shipped the Xplore bindings that I ordered for my Sbound 98's and they should arrive next week.
Oh that is great, the shipping is so fast, glad you finally managed to order the bindings.

Thanks for sharing the pics + excitement.

Re: Alfa FREE A/P/S GTX XPLORE Boot Reviews

So I am a week or so into my 2022 season, skiing every day, plus a few singles in the weekends prior. My setup: Sbound 98, 3 pin + Fischer Transnordic. Sbound 112, Xplore + Alfa free. It's been snowing everyday, so I've mainly been breaking trails everyday, with the odd day on partially groomed or p...

Re: BCX TRANSNORDIC 75 waterproof

I received these boots today and they are solid, for sure. All of below is just my first impressions. I owned the older model and I still have them for comparison. The duck bill split on my old pair, so I had to order a new set. The old pair were under warranty, however I am still waiting for Fische...

Re: Alpina Alaska XP XPlore Boot review

FWIW, I'm still totally in love with the Alaska XPs. I spent the summer starring at them. They are just mind-blowing. Can't wait to try them in pure winter conditions... And figure out how to handle them on the downhill side... 8-) This just gets me super excited... I'm so glad I found this forum a...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

I expect that the boots and bindings will be sold separately and yes, they are very expensive when compared to NNNBC and 3 pin soft boot options. I'm sure the boots and bindings will also be sold separately. I'm (luckily for once) most interested in the cheapest model so I plan on buying the Alfa S...

Re: The new Rottefella XPLORE OFFTRACK Binding System Review

So do you think the boots /bindings will be sold separately?

It seems strange to get boots from ALFA, without the bindings?

I was assuming the advertised 599 was just for the boots? (although that seems like more of a fair price, If the binding were included).
