My legs (and skiing style) prefer something shorter. They have been used at most four times, so they are in excellent condition.
Open to trade for a shorter ski. Otherwise, take these off my hands and give them the runs they deserve.
Asking for USD 315
Can meet in MA or NH for delivery!

Re: Madshus Panorama 78
I took my old beater Annums out for a spin at Mohawk Mountain, a small ski hill in NW Connecticut (650 ft vert). The snow was soft, the slopes aren't steep, so what the heck. I had my old Dynastar Legend 3800 skis with me for comparison. That's a vintage 2005 downhill ski with 75mm waist, so I thin...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
Meta, knowing your situation and experience more now from this and the other thread, I propose this wild idea. Get a cheap last generation alpine rental fleet ski to learn on and really experience the telemark turn in area. Delayed lead changes, monomarks, etc. It worked for me. I got some Salomon ...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
@metamorphosis108 Ok- this gives me/us way more context. IIRC- you have already stated (in another thread) that you have trouble with your Fischer 78 + Nordland boot on hard-icy snow- correct? If so- there could be a number of reasons for this: - the ski is too stiff and cambered for your weight as...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
A few intial thoughts/questions- I am wondering why you are considering Alpine Touring boots and bindings- are you considering moving away from Nordic-Telemark downhill skiing? I don't know your background- are you an experienced-skilled skier- is your skiing background Alpine-downhill? Although- t...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
What about that T-4? I ski my T-4 at the ski hill with my Tindan which is 86 mm underfoot. The Vector is a nice ski, but probably a little wide for the T-4 at the resort. The K2 Wayback 84 is narrow enough to turn with a T-4, and would be more at home on Mt Cardigan than your Panorama 78, although ...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
Good recommendation from fisheater on the Waybacks, I have the 88's and really like them. I ski those at the resort, and used them in the BC (with skins, of course) before I got the Objectives (and recently arrived, not yet mounted Vectors). Big sweet spot, and versatile, which I've found typical o...

Re: Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
To confirm one thing Phoenix states. Scales are not pleasant at the resort. Slightly more pleasurable than a root canal! If I am wanting to perfect my turns and downhill skills, wouldn't being somewhat slow with fischscales work to my advantage? Or do the fishsclaes interfere with more than the spe...

Gear Set Up For Uphill (& Backcountry)
I have to travel significant distance (5-6 hours RT in a day) to access BC ski locations and is getting somewhat exhausting. Add to that the self-guilt of burning so much fossil fuel 2-3 times a week (and the cost)! Recently, I found out that ski resorts located close by allow uphill access at a ver...
