Re: Ski choice advice for snowmobile tracks
I have not taken the FT X on any refrozen sled tracks. Since I’m assuming there are some good turns to be had, that would be my first choice. I don’t know anything about the Rossi, except one former poster stopped using his when he got a T-78. So based on what I know it’s a balancing act between tu...

Ski choice advice for snowmobile tracks
I'm thinking about cutting out this afternoon or tomorrow at lunch and hitting some of the snow still up the local canyon. There's actually a lot but it's getting a bit churned from snowmobiles. I'm wondering, of the skis I own (that make sense), which might be the best for a snowmobile track? I'll ...

Re: Adding more skis to my quiver
John the WL is scaled. I got mine from Varuste on sale, ski, BC binding, X-skin, to my door for just under $400 I was at my door in less the a week for order date, economy shipping! My wife doesn't like it when Varuste boxes show up at the door. :? Which Nansens did you order? To but increase the c...

Re: Adding more skis to my quiver
Mattafix , it may be too late but I got a new pair of Objective BC in 174cm at Skinny Skis in Jackson, WY for under $400 a month ago. It was not their only pair. They do ship. :D Sadly, my knees can’t get better. But, through a lot of time in the gym and religiously wearing my rigid, Donjoy braces ...

Re: Adding more skis to my quiver
Mattafix , I too am 'waiting' on a scaled FT62. Given this year's conditions in Northern Utah (warmer than normal but freezing at night) I've found myself using the FT62 a lot more than the Voile Objective BC that I usually use more. Both are mounted Xplore and I mostly ski them with Lundhags Abisk...

Re: Mitigating Snow Buildup Underfoot
In the past, I've used spray silicone with good results. Also, Teflon tape can help. I think you're just a little south of me. I ski mostly in the Bear River Range. I've noticed a lot more caking underfoot this year with the warmer temperatures. Wondering if you seen the same though, if you ski at ...

Mitigating Snow Buildup Underfoot
I've been doing a lot of touring in Northern Utah this winter. The snow has finally started falling but it's closer to West Coast cement than Champaign powder. As a result I'm getting some severe snow buildup under my boot with the Transit binding. I'm thinking of using this spray stuff I sprayed in...

Re: Can't control speed! Snowplow doesn't plough...
I remember decades ago when the sport of rollerblading burst on the scene. I didn't live in a place that was conducive to the sport or I'd have loved giving it a go. Closest I got was some rental blades and some bumpy outings. At any rate, one of the things I read at the time went something like, "....
