Re: Which Fischer ski for BCXC/XCD on firm/icy snow conditions?

Here ya go…. Old School Black Diamond Tele’s. They are tempting for me, but I have some Old School Miller Soft powder skis to try in some bottomless pow first. https://www.ebay.com/itm/295380065901?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aGR7YsZjR06&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=GRBOLpHvQZ2&var=&widge...

Re: V6 on firm

I agree 100% that the wide, open turn is a great learning tool and that it is near impossible not to get weight on the rear foot. I'm not with you on the high heel though. Sure your ski will turn by putting a lot of torque on your binding and pressuring the tips, but it's better to learn to get the...

Re: V6 on firm

Was lucky enough to do a Teley workshop with one of the Woman on the Norwegian Telemark racing team. She had us doing an exercise where you Telemark with the widest stance you can .....almost bow legged. We called them John Wayne Teleys. This was back in the early 90s on skinnies and leathers. You c...

Re: Newbie looking for advice on Nossi

I have mounted both the original Falketind 62, the Falketind Xplore, and the Asnes Tindan 86. The Tindan was the most difficult. I pestered the heck out of @Woodserson as he had some Voile Objective. To make a very long story short all were mounted at balance point which was reasonably close to cho...

Re: Newbie looking for advice on Nossi

I'm considering a Nosi myself, at some point, though finding the right size is problematic. They seem to only ever have the 164 which is a bit short for me, I think. At any rate, I'm thinking of setting them up for two different sets of bindings: Xplore for more XC oriented excursions and Meidjo fo...

Re: Newbie looking for advice on Nossi

I think that ski will be fun on either the leather boots, when conditions are right, or either of your plastic boots. So I would go with the four hole pattern and use the Mountaineers so you have the option to use your different weight 75mm boots. You would also be able to change binding w/o drilli...
