Honestly, I would really consider renting first before buying gear. Newer tech is not really going to help you learn faster. I am 5’7 122 lb female.I wear a size 8.5-9 and I wear a 41 in the Alpina Alaska. I wear a silk liner sock and then a somewhat thin wool sock. Lucky you getting to ski regularl...
