Re: DIY integrated skins?
@rodbelan there's no doubt the scales could be way better but my thought process is that it'd be easier to take some base out and fill it with skin than filling with ptex and using skins but I do really like the idea of the full, skinny skin... got me thinking.. also I think it's worth noting that t...

Re: DIY integrated skins?
@fisheater yeah I have a similar set for my wooden nordic skis that I enjoy a lot but with these other skis I'm not really interested in leaving the bases as is; plus they drag pretty hard @KneedleDrop exactly. I thought about just getting some hoks but I got these skis for cheap and they're a littl...

DIY integrated skins?
Wondering if anyone on here has attempted to do a diy integrated skin in any of their skis? I live at 10700 and the driveway is about .75mi with a max slope of around 20-25° with no vehicle access during the winter; it's a treat as well as a trial. There are also a good amount of nice, smaller lines...

Re: Alico Teletour Source in the US?
Went to telemark Pyrenees and cane back and there's an ad displaying all the alico boots for sale on their site and now I'm thinking about the "double".... even though I can't help but think the name is based on how it's priced

Re: Alico Teletour Source in the US?
Good to know. I like the strap on the teletour because they have a dual action buckle that allows you to loosen it without moving the strap through the ratchet (if that makes any sense) so you can have more support downhill without the tightness on the way up. Seems like that doesn't happen with the...

Re: Alico Teletour Source in the US?
Krummholz good looks. That's a pretty good time frame. I was just speaking from my last experience in 2017 when I got some AT boots from them but it's good to know it doesn't always take that long. In regards to the boot itself, I'm not opposed to the other models but, I am a 46 and, I'm a glutton ...

Re: Surface Ruess
Heyyo, new here. Im currently living in taos, nm, and i ski mostly in the southern san juans, sangre de cristos the sawatch range up by leadville. I actually did a bunch of lurking around here to figure out what to get as far as a backcountry xcd setup and ended up finding a pair of surface ruess's ...

Re: Alico Teletour Source in the US?
Hi there, new here. I managed to get my hands on a pair of alico teletours off ebay at the beginning of the season and, while I really enjoyed them up and downhill, I did a longer mission last week and somehow managed to destroy the toes. I did about 10 miles on untracked spring snow and I was in an...
