I have a couple pairs of destroyed X-skins. Saved them if I ever wanted to try refurbishing them, but never have the time. I can send these to you for shipping cost

Shoot me a DM
Oh I just saw the answer now!... I didn't get any notification so I wasn't sure, sure I'll send you a DM.

Sadly that person doesn't seem to be active anymore and they are from Canada and shipping from there makes things difficult.

I don't know where to get that thing anymore.

Re: Full length skins for Asnes Nato

You can buy the correct Black Diamond USGI 60mm full length adhesive skins, complete with tail hooks and tip stretchers, and brand new, on ebay for about $21.00 shipped. These are long enough for 210+cm skis , so can be trimmed to fit. I've purchased several pair of these skins in the last few year...

Re: Worn/damaged x-skins I could buy/get from someone in Finland?...

I'm also looking for replacement parts, the rivets for the tails of the military Xskins. I've written Asnes customer service more than once with no answers in return, which I understand is pretty normal for that company, although disappointing. Anyone have a good source for something that would wor...

Re: Worn/damaged x-skins I could buy/get from someone in Finland?...

Oh my friend, this is emphatically the correct place to discuss this! If you do a search I think you'll even find members you can hassle for parts and advice. As a fellow ruminant, , may I compliment you on your wool? Nice to keep warm. My fellow hervibore, so any idea where I can get that buckle t...

Worn/damaged x-skins I could buy/get from someone in Finland?...

Sorry if this is not the right forum to ask for this, all I want is the metal clip; I have been experimenting with skins, I am a beginner skier (but still an engineer) and this winter hasn't been great; so I just been fidgeting and making things so I wanted to try making my own skins from raw materi...

Did you say you iron in your wax? Then a harder wax would have no extra costs I guess. And waxes cost very little, especially compared to good skis. :)
Maybe I get some more from puuilo.

And I think I busted a finger, now I need rest.
Ouch- are you ok?
Yeah just dislocated a finger, it was very dumb, not even the fall caused that, but trying to stand.

Do you know how to cosmetically fix the nylon, I stabbed the skis with my pole :(
