Re: fjellski for wisconsin

Hello and welcome, welcome Radiomir! I simply cannot think of a better touring ski then the Gamme 54 for the skiing you describe- You will simply fly acrosss the lakes, fields and through the woods, up the hills- and then drop a gear on the descents as the slightly rockered tip encourages those ligh...

Re: Gear Basket

Those are magnificent boots John! Whomever wore them has a small foot (for thos boots)- the folds at the base of the lacing clearly indicate this- I would want to somehow retrain that leather- look like a potential pinch point... Looking at the photos→ 44EU/9.5UK/10US (not 9.5US). Based on my limite...

Re: Wildly speculative talk about Asnes 21-22 lineup: Otto/FT62

Antoher note on the Sverdrup- I also just bought a 205cm Nansen WL. (In some ways I am more surprised by the Nansen than the Sverdrup- more on that later and somewhere else...) Flex comparison of the Sverdrup vs Nansen: - Sverdrup MUCH stiffer and more cambered underfoot - Sverdrup has more flexible...

Re: Green Gamme vs Teal Gamme weight difference

I cant remember what the weight difference is... It is noticable. Is the Green Man as heavy as your pre-Xtra E99? I can confirm that the balance point, and the overall geometry is identical between the first and second-gen (current) Gamme 54. The new Gamme feels just as supportive, and the resistanc...

Re: NNN BC bindings: Auto or Manual?

If you are going to push the 78 hard downhill I personally would mount the magnum- especially if you plan on being many miles from the trailhead.

No difference in skiing performance between them.

Re: Alfa Overtrekkstovel- Overboot

Just checked mine- they are size "42-43"- both my size 42 and size 43 boots will fit in these- with a full gaiter on.
Will check them with my 3pin boots some time.

Re: NNN BC bindings: Auto or Manual?

The Magnum is a base plate that is a handful of mm wider - to help control wider skiis. To add to this- Personally, I am not convinced that the wider base plate of the Magrnum increases leverage on the ski- I cannot see or measure any difference- The wider base plate also does not tighten-up the bo...
