Your detailed discussions of the Alpina boot and Xplore binding make them sound fantastic. I am ready to upgrade, except for the issues of the pins jamming and the sole delaminating. Do you believe these issues have been resolved?

Interesting discussion. I am currently using old Fischer E99’s with Merrel XCD 75 mm boots on mostly ungroomed trails with short climbs and twisty descents, mostly in Western Mass and central NH, and trying to decide which Asnes to buy. This would be away from groomed areas on trails with some snowm...
