Need new NNN BC Boots
I'm passing my Fischer BCX6 boots to my son because he outgrew his other boots. The Fischer were ok, but not durable. My son is still growing so he'll probably outgrow them and then I'll toss 'em. I'm sticking with NNN BC. I have the Magnum bindings on two sets of skis and they match the type of ski...

Wide boots size 38? NNN
Got boys that are size 37 or 38 in length. I got them women's boots that are size 38 and they fit length-wise with some room for them to grow so they'd last at least this season and next. The women's boots are narrow in the toes. I can return these, but what can I get? By the charts, 38 is Men's siz...

Re: Can I screw NNN-BC bindings to NIS plates?
Thanks for the help and advice. I decided to get the Rossi NNN boots, the X-5 OT boots. Comparing them to the BC boots, it's true they have a lower sole and will be lighter weight which is a win for the kids. I also know whatever I do, they're going to outgrow them in a couple years. The NNN boots c...

Re: Can I screw NNN-BC bindings to NIS plates?
yes.. they have the Rottafella auto combi bindings I either need to buy NNN boots or NNN-BC bindings, screw them on, and buy NNN-BC boots I'd kind of like to go BC because the boots are more appropriate for the wilderness skiing we do, not track-shoe style. Also, my wife and I both ski BC, and her b...

Can I screw NNN-BC bindings to NIS plates?
I'm trying to get my boys in new boots on new skis. They outgrew their last pairs from 3 years ago. They're 11 and 12, and both about 65 pounds, 4'7" -- not heavy enough for adult skiis. Even 150cm leaves them some room to grow into. I got them some 150cm Rossignol skis. They have NIS plates (and au...

Re: Fischer E-109 vs. Asnes Ingstad
I'm looking for a soft/deep snow ski. This thread has been helpful. I've considered a number of skis from the E99 up to the S-bounds, but like the gentleman from Whitehorse, I live in a rural area with no chance to see or touch the skis in person. Gamme's chart is helpful to characterize the skis in...

Re: Spider 62
I'm skiing in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. This area is considered the "California Alps." There's a lot of different terrain all within a short distance of one another. I have four ten-thousand foot peaks outside my window, but there's also alpine lakes, meadows, and Forest Service roads that are fair...

Spider 62
We have a wonderful amount of snow this season and I’ve recently acquired some new cross country skis. I’ve skied from childhood but mostly Alpine, and I’m only just now getting the opportunity to ski more than a few times a season. I bought some Spider 62’s about a month ago and have been able to s...
