Re: The tele skier, according to Mammoth

Those look like NTN to me (very abstract) but surely plastic boots ... not leather and pins.

Re: Bishop Bomber

with some rumor of a NTN Bishop source? Last I heard, Bishop depended on duckbill to break the bellows, so You could stick NTN boot in there, but activity would be zero (no duckbill resistance => boot just kinda pivots)... On the old telemarktips the NTN version was discussed (new toe block) - and ...

Re: Bishop Bomber

I actually flexed them with my mouse, see here. Impressive, but I am not too sure that is true finite element analysis. I want to hear how they flex. Depends, on how they are setup (which some find tricky), but suggesting a "binding"is fraught with issues. And $500 and mounting etc is a lot to drop...

Re: Bishop Bomber

From reading the FAQ there appear to be no changes that would change the way the binding skis. (http://www.bishopbindings.com/faq/ though at one time they offered hard and soft springs and now only hard - I actually ski one hard and one soft and keeping thinking it is time for all hard.) I just wish...

Re: All-Mountain vs Freeride Boots for a Beginner?

Syner-G and Ener-G are really the same boot - one is just taller with 4 buckles and the shorter is 3 buckles, but the boot itself is the same ... I assume you are shopping in the "previously owned" boot market. A squish small (short or volume) can be fixed a lot of ways - by yourself or a boot fitte...

Re: 22 Designs new NTN binding!

I wonder if this means Bomber will have a NTN Bomber Bishop sooner than later?

(Rottefella is making the license easy to acquire.)

Re: Older T1 collapsing onto top of arch

I was pondering this in the car this morning ... I can only wear my current boots with the current socks (extra thin ski racing socks.) I get "ski socks" as presents, always "medium weight", I wear them as just socks, no way I could even force my feet into the boots or actually ski in them - would d...

Re: Where to mount the bindings?!

I skied Riva for a while - it can be done - but requires a good match of equipment and skills and technique. I gave mine away to somebody ... they sent me $10.00 to cover the postage. Look here or at http://www.backcountrytalk.earnyourturns.com/vb/forum.php for something else cheap. I hand delivered...
