Re: Scarpa T4 shoelaces

It seemed to me that securing the liner with laces would prevent movement of the liner that might cause discomfort. I’ve always been comfortable so I continue to tie the laces. I also secure the laces with my Intuition Luxery liner on my F-1 Races.
It works for me, so I will continue in this manner

Re: Scarpa T4 shoelaces

I never had an issue with the laces, just tied them and left them inside the shells. I damaged the stock liners and replace the stock liners with an Intuition Logan Liner. That is even more comfortable

Re: Asnes finally offering FTX, Rabb and Nosi with scales

I have a Falketind Xplore, I really like the ski. It’s my favorite ski when conditions are right. However, refrozen mank isn’t the right conditions. 62 mm underfoot is pretty narrow underfoot, tends to get slice into the frozen nooks and crannies. I have seen the Rabb in real life, but didn’t flex o...

Re: Alpine Touring boots on XC skis

There are no Telemark turns without flex at the BoF. The Alaskan guys have been doing this for years, at one time we had a poster that wrote about his experiences.
As far as comfort on a multi day trip, I still think an over size boot, with a modern thin liner would be the way to go.

Re: Ski choice advice for snowmobile tracks

If it didn’t have sustained downhills Gamme is fantastic. I ski down twisty steep downhills, but mine are less than 200 feet of vertical. For Utah, you might need a Nansen. I’m in Michigan, I should be able to survive the “death stare”, you can tell you wife I strongly recommend a Nansen, just for s...

Re: Ski choice advice for snowmobile tracks

I have not taken the FT X on any refrozen sled tracks. Since I’m assuming there are some good turns to be had, that would be my first choice. I don’t know anything about the Rossi, except one former poster stopped using his when he got a T-78. So based on what I know it’s a balancing act between tur...

Looks good Rod! Those abandoned ski areas are sweet when you can access them!

Re: Adding more skis to my quiver

I have the waxless Nansen, the price was too good, and I guess I can use a waxless ski

Re: XCD skis on hardpack at the resort

I don’t have a scale, but when I get on one I’m in the low-mid 190’s lbs. if that helps.
