Re: Technique feedback thread - post a video.

Lucas, we like you here. You don’t need to be in their club, life is short, you don’t need to fight battles that you don’t need to fight.

Re: Technique feedback thread - post a video.

Lhartley , Nice turns! I followed the other link to the other site. It didn’t seem like a place for me. If Mr Double Pole Plant is their idea of good skiing, I don’t need to know much more. It wasn’t the double pole plant, or really any obvious fault in form. He’s just not a very dynamic skier. He ...

Re: Old 2-buckle t2 as a step up from excursion?

I thought the T2 was always a 3 buckle, with T3 and T4 being 2 buckle. Could your T2 be modified?
Regardless, a T2 should be stiffer and higher in the cuff. It should offer more support.
Good luck

Re: Solo Skiing

If I didn’t ski solo, I wouldn’t ski at all. My buddies got too old to ski.
Tell Mr Know it all I said to kiss off! …or if I run into him he might get his a$$ kicked by a 60+ year old man!

Re: Brand new Fischer Excursion 88 for this year. Mount point? Cord center?

Thank you phoenix So for Avalanche Pass, I’m thinking Tindan (similar to Objective) and T-4, or would that be more suitable to leather boots and Falketind X (similar to Fischer S-98)? Marcy, I’m kind of up in the air on. My biggest concern is skiing the equivalent to a 5 Mile zipper line in a 10 foo...

Re: Brand new Fischer Excursion 88 for this year. Mount point? Cord center?

I have my Falketind Xplore mounted on the 10 mm riser. I remounted them to install the 10 mm riser. The only reason was to have a place to hook the Rotte ST hardwire on the heel piece, where it sits except for good downhill sections.

Re: Help: Metal edge repair failed!

My buddy did it to 3 sets of skis in a row 30 years ago on alpine gear. He was the best skier of the 3 of us, but we were all pretty good. He was always on his skis, and every edge he ripped out was under the center of his boot. I don’t remember if every edge got ripped out in the Upper Peninsula, b...

Re: Current or Recently Retired Waxable Metal Edge Skis

@fisheater gamme is really faster than the mt51? That's surprising to me. @corlay please report back how the mr48 compares to gamme after some experiences, thanks. I don’t track gps speed. Gamme has significantly more snap. Gamme is much more marked up on the bottoms given that I have the MT for th...
