Re: RFK speech, not what I expected. It’s worth 40 minutes
He made the point quite well. I’ll now let the enlightened bemoan those of us that are nothing other than deplorable garbage, somehow convinced people to vote for the orange haired fascist devil. I’m sure they and their media will bemoan the loss of democracy. It’s amazing that I have no problem ign...

Re: RFK speech, not what I expected. It’s worth 40 minutes
The Wall Street Journal had an interesting editorial on Election Day. The premise was, if Trump is elected, it is proof that the mainstream (democrat) media, which is about 85% of the media has become irrelevant.
They have been irrelevant to me for many years.

Re: Gear Basket
I just purchased a Nansen waxless, Rotte NNN-BC manual, and a 30 mm mohair X-skin to my door, for just over $400 USD from Varuste.
Yes, I prefer waxable, but I have an MT-51 waxless, a little wax helps it.
For the money, I’m excited. Compared to $740 from Neptune without the X-skin

Re: WTB Nansen 205 cm
Never mind, a Nansen with a set of bindings to my door from Neptune $740 Checked Varuste, Nansen waxless, I have an MT 51 waxless which is not an intolerable baseball card in my bicycle spoke (Fischer scales) and I can make them work better with wax or an X-Skin. So Nansen waxless, Rotte NNN-BC Manu...

WTB Nansen 205 cm
I can’t justify a new Nansen, but as long as it hasn’t lost it’s camber, I don’t care about the bottoms, tops, or edges being nicked up. I certainly wouldn’t want dried out bases. I will be skiing this ski NNN-BC, so I would be willing to pay for your NNN-BC binding at fair value.

Re: FS Garmont Excursion 27.5
Just a guess, but the shells are on the half size, then the liner has more volume to make the whole size fit. Scarpa are just the opposite, the shell is made for the whole size. The liner fills the extra volume for the half size. As an example, I wear a 28.5 in Scarpa. I got a good deal on a new, ol...

Re: De-tune tips and tails or not
I used to be in the not detuning camp. I am now in ski and see camp. When I detune it’s just a couple of wipes with a Scotch Brite pad. As MSU states, it’s easier to detune than it is to restore that edge. On my Pariah’s a quick check reveals I detuned the upturned portions of the tip and tail. No r...

Re: Modern Tele Ski
I have a Summit Cone Pariah, which I purchased as a Midwest resort ski. When shopping I didn’t like the fact it was 97 mm underfoot, but it seemed like there were a lot of skis I’ve read about that fat(fat to me). Fey Brothers recommended a 177 cm for me at 5’ 9”, 190 lbs. My shortest ski is my 187 ...
