Re: Voile Objective BC- good grip, not a full review but thoughts

I actually enjoy the social aspect of the Tucks trail, my dogs love seeing all the people. it's graded better for skinning too

Re: Voile Objective BC- good grip, not a full review but thoughts

it sounds great, no doubt the convenience of going up & down a trail like that without any fuss or transitions is very cool. If it's steep enough the scales don't slow you down on the descent. My Asnes Nato skis were able to go up that trail w/ the 60mm kicker skins but you have to mess with the ski...

Re: Asnes Mountain Tour 51

I got one more nice ski in there, I wish I brought my camera as the bridges over the streams had 4-5 feet of snow on them. The snow was a little icier, a layer of freezing rain had covered everything, when it warmed to 40 degrees the corn was crispy & harder and the scales didn't work as well. A kic...

Re: Sbounds...leathers

I really like the Nato Combat ski - 82-64-74 - I've got 200cm, it turns easily, it's slightly heavier & more durable than E109's or Asnes Ingstad, it has less rocker which I prefer. Very thick edges, good for exposed rocks. Takes kicker skins, you can climb intermediate trails at Stowe with a 60mm k...

Re: Sbounds...leathers

Asnes makes a lot of different skis - the NATO Combat is 84-62-74, Ingstad is the same dimensions but lighter with more rocker. Breidablikk is the same dimension but with no edges. Even with the E109 you'd still like any of these. Gamme 54 is the same dimensions as E99, more camber for long distance...

I thought I was the only one! This is my breakdown as well. In fact, if you have snowshoes, the snowboard can be used instead of AT gear for climbing and descending steeper downhill ski routes.

Re: Ski Review: 2018-2019 Fischer Excursion 88

I understand now, when you say "round" flex, you mean single camber, or a ski with very little camber. So something like the Falktind or Rabb from Asnes except narrower. you know the 195cm Ingstad would probably ski a lot more like the Excursion 189cm's - it would be easier to handle on the downhill...

Re: Ski Review: 2018-2019 Åsnes Ingstad BC

nice videos - I love the "Jackrabbit" name - that would be a great name for a new Waxless Gamme ski

The Excursion sidecut is pretty close - only 4mm different from Ingstad - are you looking for more width?
