Re: Fischer Traverse Boots for Xplore Binding

I had and was quite impressed with the 75mm version of this boot, the Transnordic 75. Most dh friendly 75mm boot on the market, barring hard plastic boots.
It gave toe crunch to some people here though.
Be sure to give us feedback on it's use.

Re: Grip tape question

I had waxless Nansens and was also disappointed by the grip. I remedied for a while either by by using grip wax 15 to 20 cm forwards from the end of the scales or using shirt skins, but eventually got waxable skis instead. The scale pattern is only 55 cm or so long compared to 90 on Fischer skis. Fw...

Re: Quiver Setup Help 75mm v Xplore

Due to GAS I had all binding systems in the last 5 years or so. In chronological order, in a range of different skis: NNNBC (boots:Crispi Stetind) 75mm voile 3pc and Rottefella Super Tele cable (boots: Crispi Bre, Scarpa T4, Fischer Transnordic, one outing on Ski March) Xplore (boots: Alfa Free) I t...

Re: Lundhags Guide Explore BC Boot too tight...

@sheep the big girth and / oblique girth of my feet (dimensions 4 and 5) are preventing me from even putting the xplore versions of these boots on.
Never had any issue with Crispi or Alfa boots. Scarpa boots fit extremely tight and didn't like the fit of Alpina Alaska BC.

Re: Crispi Futura

I should receive a pair ordered based on previous experience with Crispi sizing, within a week or so. I am very happy with Alfa Free (same size, 46) but i got pretty cold feet recently when i had to stay outside inactive to help the kid, and others also agree that they aren't particularly warm. I tr...

@Jurassien Thanks for digging up this info, what they managed on those skis and boots looks pretty gnarly to me.

Re: What ski after the Åsnes Gamme?

I ski in variable terrain near Trondheim with larger tours being Sylan, Trollheimen etc. I owned a number of 2 or 3 ski quiver combos. 3 pairs of skis is too much for me in practice and one pair always ends up not being used. I now run Ousland and Falketind Xplore. I suppose you want to keep your Ga...

Re: Question on the Crispi Bre's

Hi, Sorry I don't have these anymore, as I went all in to Xplore for off track skiing. I may have posted the weight here somewhere, I didnt find them particularly heavy or light. I found them to be perfect touring boots, very comfortable, warm etc with less torsionally stiff soles than I would have ...

Re: Alfa Skaget Xplore boot disintegrate

My Frees look ok. Been driving with them and walking short distances on gravel. But I'll definitely be more careful now. I have a suspicion that the pin cylinder is held by more than just the tip, perhaps it has protrusions. Just like the NNN-BC is not simply a straight bar but is bent backwards ins...
