Re: Fischer S-Bound vs Madshus Panorama
Hi all, ...Why do I consider these skis? I mostly ski in quite hilly terrain. The trails on which I ski often have virgin snow or are ski-doo trails. But I mostly use these trails to get in forested areas (mixed forest) where I ski off-track. Then again, it is hilly so I have to do some ascents and...

Re: Alpina Alaska XP failure?!
I have had similar separations with hiking boots, shoes, sneakers. I find that good, old-fashioned contact cement works great. as its name implies, it bonds on contact- to itself. In case you (or others) are unfamiliar, spread a thin, even layer on both surfaces, then, let each side dry BUT do not ...

Falketind 62 X with Scales
I know this doesn't exist but I wish it did. I use both the 58mm and the 45mm XSkins depending on conditions and they work quite well but they do produce significant drag. More specifically, the plastic mount-cover drags and, in some conditions, is really noisy. I've waxed the FT and it works pretty...

Re: Prototype…
@JohnSKepler how'd this turn out?? very curious I'm about half-way there but got distracted by my current set-ups and the snow on the ground. :D It would not even surprise me if the actual prototype got pushed into some time when all the white stuff has melted. On snow data is the most impor...

Re: Xplore Remount from 3 Pin
If your 3-pin was/is mounted directly on the ski with the pin-line at the balance point you cannot mount Xplore at the balance point. You’ll have to go forward or backward. When I put a 3-pin on ‘over’ the Xplore holes (inserts) I used the Voile 10mm riser and was able to mount the 3-pin, pin-line a...
