I haven’t skied the T4, but I have skied the Free on the Voile Objective in soft snow, which works great.
If hard snow is a requirement, I would go with the T4.
The Free is a great boot, but I don’t think stiff enough to effectively and comfortably edge that wide of a ski on hard snow.

Re: Meidjo 3 Vs. Outlaw X Edit: with some Bishop input
Yeah so many holes it's incredible. Definately looking forward for the jig. Customer support said they should receive some in a couple weeks. Also got previous hardware from Binding Freedom so I might as well mount with inserts :-) I got the inserts and insert kit direct from Meidjo. The external t...

Re: Meidjo 3 Vs. Outlaw X
3. I just broke down and ordered another M3 from InWild. Got tired of switching binding between skis. Also ordered the binding mounting jig. Wish it had been available when I drilled my other skis. Seemed worth it for the lack of aggravation and stress in future mounts. Better price for M from Euro...

Re: Elan Ripstick mounting point question...
If there is science to " Telemark bindings should be further back than Alpine boot center " then mounting telemark at "Factory Recommended Boot Center" should produce a ski that skis more "Progressive" and is easier to turn. A downside would be that the ski is more likely to "tip dive" in deeper pow...

Brynski , Maybe look at the Telehiro thread and videos for tips. He skis tall. Not for you to copy his style, but just to see if there is anything that resonates with you and the way you want to ski. https://www.telemarktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6322 Not to read through all the posts, but more f...

Re: Falketind 62 X with Scales
What would work better for backcountry use, scales or an inset skin like the Asnes MR48? Gotta think it’s traction patter, with some option for skins, when that doesn’t work. My limited experience with MR48 Skin is not liking the herky jerky grab / release when gliding. Just guessing true track ski...

Re: "You got old gear, man."
I'm looking for advice on new gear. Since 2005 I've skied Black Diamond Mira 188s (112/79/102) with BD bindings, mostly on older T2s (the blue ones with a grey tongue) and Excursions. That setup has done me well on typical northern Minnesota ski area conditions including mostly hardpack but very oc...

I’ll try and get my wife to do some video of me, for your amusement!
