Bear Valley Telemark Fesival is Back (with a Twist)!
The Bear Valley Telemark Festival is back (with a twist)! After taking a winter off the organizers have morphed the lineup to include randonee and splitboard enthusiasts as well as the telemark main course. As always, professional instruction, adventures, good food and music will be on the menu, including an all-terrain "Adventure Race".

Re: Bear Valley Telemark Fesival is Back (with a Twist)!
Some good news:
There is a surprising amount of snow down here and current conditions are "off the cob" with sweet corn and good coverage both in and out of bounds. On a daily basis people are commenting how much more snow we have than other places in the Sierra. Our lower mountain isn't open but the entire upper mountain and readily accessible backcountry bowls are in great shape. The locals have been skiing town runs all day long using the free village shuttle to get back to the resort to do it all over again, and again, and again.
In addition the weather forecast hints that things will change for the better right before the event and switch conditions back to winter. If you haven't experienced Bear Valley, or it's been awhile, consider coming over for a good 'ol time.
