Who's planning on visiting some RASTA terrain this year?

I've been following this for the past few years, and would love for the APSA to evolve into something along these lines... maybe not as aggressive, but opening up and balancing opportunities for skiers in the BC with those that are for hiking and snowmobiles (technically our powers that be get around this by designating every snowmobile trail as a ski trail as well, but no one wants to ski a busy snowmobile trail).

I'd love to see/hear some first hand accounts. As much as checking stuff like this out is on my radar, it's simply too far away for me to make it realistic, and if I went that far east, I'd also like to tour parts of the Catamount trail.

I had almost forgotten about seeing the video about the RASTA trails last year. Maybe I'll make the 5.5 hour pilgrimage this winter!

It'd be great to see more areas run like that. A little pruning along with landowner communication could go a long way to grow back country skiing opportunities.

Good to see they have some events posted this winter! I still have their map on my computer. Hopefully my stupid leg will be healed by February, would love to join these guys.

Hoping to get down there for sure... really trying to up my 'out there' opportunities this year. Lots of skills to be had for going downhill in the woods...

Surely a lot of that would be over my head in terms of skill, but no better way to get comfortable with it than to go experience some.
