Twin Cities Tele

Post by Digger » Sat Nov 08, 2014 9:50 pm

Winter/ storm warning for Monday. The season is about to begin. I was just out in hiking some woods and scouting some lines for XCD. I came home and got the news. Cold all week to keep it around and fire up the snow making to boot.

Let's see if anyone from the tribe checks this site.

Checking in following the otherwise lame storm. It's white...kinda...but not deep where it matters.

Good for getting the kids out in the white stuff, but only about 3-4 inches at my place in the NE metro. It socked in one of my job sites up by St. Cloud though. Afton's blowing, and I know Wild is open in a small capacity with hopes for the rest by the weekend. They picked up a bit more of this storm than Afton did. If Afton opens up, I'll be out there Sunday night.

I got back from the cabin at 5 on Sunday and did the mad scramble to do a summer/winter equipment swap between the garage and shed in the dark.

Hey Tom,

Good to see your post. Are you still working at Afton?

Everyone looks to be open this weekend. The storm slid north but the cold made for some go prescription snow blowing. We got 5-6" at our place. Enough to get out for a little tour Tuesday night.

Off to Welch for the opening salvo tomorrow. It's starting off like a banner year.

Check out this little piece from Bohemia. Our little Midwest powder stash!

Prescription snow covering over 3000' of vertical. It just takes a few laps to get there. This is known as the Cannon Valley Effect.
