BC boots size 15?

Hi! Am looking to get my husband into BC skiing but have trouble finding boots for him, he is a size 15 (EU 51). Does anyone know of any NNN BC boots at all this size? It is equally easy for us to try/buy them in either the US or Norway. I love my Alfa Guard Advance GTX, but according to Alfa none of their boots go higher than EU50, so I guess Alfa is out of the question.

I am afraid I am not familiar with Nordic touring boots larger than 50EU...
What about NN-3pin?

Thanks a lot for the link, this is an option I did not think of myself! Will check them out.

As with most manufacturers, at least in Europe (maybe not so much in the US), it always seems a bit more expensive to order directly from the dealer. But for unusual sizes like this a steep price certainly is to be expected.

There's also a Swedish company called Lundhags that do custom-made hiking boots. They sell really nice BC boots in their normal line.

You draw around the foot, tell them what you want, and they make it for you. Theoretically they could make big BC boots I suppose, but their standard boots aren't the cheapest so I suspect it might be... ridonculously expensive.

Thanks! Looks like they can do custom made clothes as well. Am sure it’s expensive but still might check that out for the possibility of xtra tall clothes (also not so easy to find although easier to find state side)

I also need a custom boot, but for my wide feet. I checked the Andrew link and couldn't even find ski boots. There were two models of 75mm boots on the Lundahg site but it said they are for wire bindings. To me it sounds like they have a thinner sole than a light telemark boot. Does anyone know anything about the Lundahgs or direct me to where to find Andrews current offerings.

They have the same standard NNN sole as my wife's Stetinds, but seem fractionally stiffer.

I have wide feet (toes) too, and these fit me very nicely. They're really nice boots.

Trying to decide between it and the higher Expedition BC...

I am assuming that Lundhags "heel retention" tech keeps that inner liner from sliding on the heel?

(I also have my sites on the Juare II High for a 3-season field boot...)

You are not the first here with this particular issue. Check out various threads about it by Canatonic and myself. The best solution, IMO, is a newer pair of norwegian stitch boots such as a Crispi or Andrew Rifugio (forget contacting Andrew diretly, it dies not work) and stretching the hell outta them with an appropriate boot stretch. The other best option is to buy something from Alfa, they use thw widest lasts.

As for the lundhags for wire bindings, forget them too. Those are for trekking, not for turning.
